Step 4: Raise a SSL Certificate for BOPS
Why you need to do this
An SSL certificate proves to your IT department that BOPS is safe and secure. This is an essential requirement for IT systems at all councils.
Your IT team will need an SSL certificate before you begin using BOPS for live applications. This process usually takes around 2 weeks to complete.
What you need to do
Tell your IT department that you need to raise an SSL certificate. Find out who is responsible for doing this, and put them in contact with the BOPS team.
How to do this
There are three possible ways to manage SSL certificates. For details go to our Mapping your domain page.
